This summer Im planning trip to Nigeria to Jos and some rural areas outside Plateau. It will be voluntary service. My question is: how is the safety side in this place? Because I feel quite safely with the organization Im going to, but my family and friends are worrying so much...

1. Re: Safety

Jos has been relatively calm in the last one year or so. There hasn't been wide report of communal violence in the state. The feuding Hausa-Fulani and Berom local tribes have recently come together and are now working earnestly to ensure a return to normalcy on the plateau. However, I advise you to liaise with your contact in Nigeria. My honest opinion is that Jos is now very peacefully.
