We stayed at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and liked it very, very much. Their van is wonderful, and will take you to the falls. Then, you can pay your $30, (I think) and go on a tour with many, many vantage points. I think this is a good time to view the falls. In the spring, all you can see is a huge mist, but in Aug/Sept. you can see the actual falls and it is awesome. Bring a cheap disposable poncho, because there is some mist. Also, if you have a camera, you will need to keep it IN the poncho. You can rent ponchos at the falls, but we just brought our own. Our driver of the van from Safari Lodge dropped us where the Zambezi River is. We walked to the middle of the bridge and took a sign of us in "Zambia." We didn't need a passport for this, so you don't need to worry about shots or reentry. There were guides there who wanted to guide you across the bridge. We walked a little bit with a guide and he gave us a shortened version of the river and falls. Then, we gave him a couple dollars. I'm glad we did it, just to say that we set foot in Zambia!
