Masai Mara Early July ??

We are planning on visiting Tanzaia and Zanzibar in early - mid july with 9 nights at Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti (both North and South/Central Serengiti, We have the opportunity to include a few additional nights in the beginning - should we include the Masai Mara for 2-3 nights before travelling to Tanzania.

Yes if you want to go why not.

As an alternative you can spend time in the Western Corridor near the Grumeti River and then a few days north near the Mara River this is probably better to organise than a visit to both countries.

For July, I'd skip 'south' Serengeti, but as noexpert mentions you can include the Western corridor.

Regarding adding the Masai Mara, know there is no direct connection between the two, so if you wish to visit the Mara and North Serengeti, you'll have to decide how you do this.

You can arrive Nairobi, fly first to visit the Mara and then head into Tanzania to visit Tarangire, Ngo, Serengeti

OR after the Northern Serengeti,

by road ( 8+/hrs - a full day) or flight (half that time with a few flights and road transfers (arriving Mara around 2-2:30pm) cost approx. $500/person

... and of course, coordinate this with your international flights - where you arrive/depart.

Many visitors do visit both, minimum 3/nts each... discuss with your tour operator/outfitter.

If you have a day or 2 spare I would include some time at Lake Manyara NP and the surrounding area. As well as game drives you can do some lovely walks along the Rift Valley and also do some cultural visits including villages and schools.
