This is so easy to arrange once you are in the country that its hardly worth the effort to search on line, where you have no idea who you are dealing with.

But if you prefer it that way, no worries, there are plenty of guides on this site and other travel fora more than willing to offer their services...

if you're looking for an English speaking guide try Rachid. he's a graduate from Higher Institute of tourism and been in service for 20 years. Once in Marrakech you can reach him at this number:

068 76 59 68 . If you're interested in meeting a Moroccan family, the guide can put you in touch with some Moroccan families.

While in Marrakech , don't miss for anything in the world la maison arabe cookery school where you learn to cook Moroccan.

If you need an insider 's view of Moroccan culture, don't hesitate to ask . I coordinate cultural exchange programs with some US Universities( Saint Olaf College, Minnesota; Duke University , North Carolina)

regards

How much would a guide/driver cost roughly for 4 days? thinking of going from Marrakech to Fez, but stopping along at interesting sites, stopping in Ouarzazarte and Erfoud areas. For January 2, 2007. thanks!!

I think you'll be better off with an English speaking driver. Take a local guide in Fes and Marrakech, as driver is not certified to guide you. If you choose a local guide it should cost you around 20 euros for a half day

cheers

hi We loved Rachid. A great guide. It was not expensive and I think most drivers and guides are compted for meals and room You would need to check. But I would never have seen so much without a guide. Rachid Ouargaga. Number is on other posting
