Bottled water/money/itinerary help please

Hi, we are taking our then 19 month old toddler here in Nov. He can only have bottled water with a very low sodium content or else he gets Ill. Can anyone advise if Evian is easy to get a hold of? Or any other brands with low sodium?

Also, we are there for 5 days with no itinerary, any suggestions?

How much do people recommend taking as spending money for food, days out etc? All help gratefully received x

Evian is imported and more expensive than rest of Moroccan mineral waters. Hard to find outside major cities and supermarkets. In 5 days stick to one city and make 1 or 2 day trips either to the Atlas mountains or Essaouira. Marrakech os for all budgets.you can eat live on snacks for 30 to 50 dh per person pr eat at fancy restaurant for 400 to 700 dh

yoy can make your holiday as cheap or expensive as you wish

You have between now and Nov. to think up a plan.

Buy or borrow a guidebook for Morocco.

Regarding bottled water, why not check the sodium content of popular Moroccan brands once you are here?

I've been told that Oulmes mineral water is high in sodium but there are many other water brands, such as Sidi Ali.

I have seen Evian in supermarket but it is far more expensive than local brands, but I have no idea about sodium content.

I use ain saiss bottled water in Morocco and think that it tastes like evian. I will compare the bottle labels and let you know if the sodium levels are comparable

Most bottled water has the composition detailed on the side.

Suggest you avoid mineral waters such as Sidi Harazem (Devil's brew!), Ain Saiss and Sidi Ali. Sidi Ali might be the best of these but they all have high mineral traces. Oulmès is a naturally carbonated mineral water.

Avoid Ciel by Coca Cola which has incredibly high chlorine content and in any case is just treated tap water.

Your best bet might be natural spring water such as Ain Ifrane (my favourite) and Ain Atlas.

Will be very interested if anyone continues this thread with more research. Happy to be proved wrong!
