Royal Air Maroc 767-300ER, best seats?

Can anyone recommend which seats are the best on the non-stop flight from JFK to Casablanca?

Exit row or bulkheads for legroom?

Also, is the airline as bad as all the reviews suggest? Any tips?

Hello - we just returned from a wonderful Marrakech holiday, and we did fly on Royal Air Maroc (May 14-21- JFK-CMN-RAK RT). Note the following - the BEST Seats are Row 4 thru 8. Try and get a Window and Next. Seat configurations are 2-3-2. Rows 4-8 is a downgrade from First Class but a definite Upgrade from the rest of the Plane. We sat on Row 12 on our outbound - the seats are very narrow and do not recline too much. Note that the recline button is hidden on the bottom of your armrest, very close to the seat cushion. It is a little lever that is hard to find if you did not know it existed! Our flight home on Seat 5HK was much better!

Bring your headphones. The headphones provided is terrible - you hardly hear anything. There are a good variety of movies, tv shows, games & music. The plane we flew in was newer and had individual screens, however, my daughters took an earlier flight home and it was an older plane, thus NO entertainment for their entire flight.

Food is so-so....you are better off bringing something from the JFK concession stands....(the Turkish restaurant by the higher number gates was outstanding).

Also good to know -

- You are deplaned in the tarmac - you will have to manage the stairs and will be bused to the terminal.

- On your flight back to JFK, there is a final carry on screening just as you board the plane conducted by their local security. They will confiscate your bottled water or drinks even if you had purchased them from the secured area.

- Boarding on your return flight is a bit early since you are bused again to the airplane on the tarmac.

Wow. This is SO very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to write in such detail.

I have booked the bulkhead seats ROW 4 for the trip down.

How do the bulkheads look, like a good choice?

Coming back, which is a longer flight, I booked 27 DE (middle section) which is an EXIT ROW and looks like there is a lot of leg room, nothing in front of you. However, it is better to be up front, even if I am on the exit row? There are plenty of seats available still, and I could switch to Row 4-8, instead of Row 27.

Again, thanks so much!!

Were your flights on time? There is such awful press about their lateness and even canceling flights.
