Panicking now

Going to Marrakech on Monday to meet up with my daughter who's travelling in Morroco for 2 weeks on her own.

I've not had time to do any research on where to go or where to eat.

We're there for a week. We arrive on Monday, daughter gets to Marrakech on the Wednesday till Friday then comes home.We leave the following Monday . So it's what to do on the days around the Wed- Fri.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Pop out to Waterstones and get a guidebook. Marrakech Encounters by Lonely Planet is excellent as it focuses in just on Marrakech and surroundings. Then settle down and have a read. It's fair to say that those who do good research get the most out of Morocco.

Also use the search facility on here to access literally thousands of threads on different subjects.

Have fun.

See here for many examples of things to do in and around Marrakech:

Click on the Restaurants tab on the green bar at the top of your screen for eating reviews and suggestions. And do purchase the guidebook that Tim mentions - it will provide a great background for your visit. You will not be bored!

If you cannot get to a book shop Wolfie, the Lonely Planet website allows you to buy PDF versions of some travel books or individual chapters. The Lonely Planet dedicated to Marrakech does not have a PDF version. The Marrakech chapter from the main Morrocan guide can be purchased and downloaded to PC E-reader etc...

I find this very useful if visiting just one destination within a country and do not wish to purchase the whole book.
