Hi Ale014;

Welcome to Morocco Travel forum.

The best way to get around the Cities you have mentioned is the train, check their timetable online at : www.oncf.ma

Trains don't run everywhere, so guidebooks are the best source of information.

many thanks for the information, could you also let me know if hiring a car and driver to get around Morocco is a safe and practical way to get around?

Train from Marrakech takes 7 hours, 10 minutes. From Fes to Tanger Ville is 4 hours 20 minutes (you need to change to reach Tanger Med). Hiring a car and driver is certainly possible but is the most expensive option by far as you would need to pay for accommodation and meals on top of the car hire, and since it sounds that you are not planning a round trip the cost would be doubled (the driver cannot be guaranteed a booking for the return journey to Marrakech).

The night train with the sleeping car is really very cool. Cost 350 dirham one way from Marrakech to Tanger and then talke a grand taxi to Tanger Med. be sure to negotiate the price of the taxi before getting in .
