going to Marrakesh for few days and would like to rent a car to go to Atlas mountains,dunes. Please recommend a reputable car rental within a walking distance from Riad Cherrata (medina). Thanks!
I can't think of any car hire companies in the medina but there are many on Avenue Mohamed V in Gueliz. It may also be better to collect the car from Gueliz as arranging for the car to be dropped off at the riad may be difficult if the riad doesn't have direct access to the road; some companies won't drop off cars in the medina; and it may be best to not have to navigate the medina at the start of your journey.
Agreed. There are also other car hire agencies on Boulevard Mohammed Zerktouni which intersects Avenue Mohammed V.
Make sure you take a look at the car you will be taking before signing any paperwork, especially check the tyres have good tread on them..........
When we hired a car on our first visit, we were offered a car with two bold tyres (no grip), what was worrying was that we were told we would have to pay if any of the tyres "exploded", it is safe to say we did not hire a car from that company.......
