Are moroccan dirhams undervalued?

Hi, there,

As some currencies are more expensive than months ago, I was wondering whether there's really much difference when buying moroccan dirhams because, if you have to buy euros in order to buy moroccan currency, maybe one exchange can kind of compensate for the other...

How about using credit cards in Morocco nowadays?

Thanks in advance,

Vitor

Why would you have to buy euros in order to buy dirhams?

Forget credit cards, unless you are staying in high-end places, Morocco is a cash society.

Just use ATMs. See 'banks and money' in 'top questions'.

Maroccoan Dirham rate has not changed really in the past few years.

As Tim above advises, easiest way is to use ATM, and receive dirhams.

I can understand that the banks probably don't exchange the Brazilian Real, but you'll do just fine with ATMs.

It might be an idea to have a small amount of emergency money in currencies that can be exchanged if necessary. US dollar is easy with small denominations.
