Are there any days which we should avoid in Marrakech?

Hi there, i'm getting mixed opinions of when sites and shops will be closed to tourists as Morrocco is a Muslim country. Can someone please clarify?

hell, marrakesh is nearly the same from the morning till night.the only time when some shops are closed but for short time is on friday when most of people go to mosques to pray .apart from that time , most of shops are open , and there is no day to avoid to marrakesh.it is lovely at night and in the afternoon.enjoy yourselves.

Although Morocco is a Muslim country, the official weekend is Sat.& Sun.Bank, factories,govenment-and private companies- offices, travel&airline agencies are all closed. Friday is a working day, but some self-employed people in the traditional sectors of the economy:artisans, shopkeepers will not be working. Note that is better to visit the Souks in the morning because they're less crowded than in the afternoon.
