check with Iberia and Royal Air Maroc.

I believe most go through Madrid....

There is a bus that goes from Barcelona to Marrakech. Mostly Moroccans but it works- check at local bus station in Barcelona.

you can easily get a flight from barcelona to casablanca.

there did not used to be flights to mara.

though there is a new low cost airline here called

atlas blue

it is like ryan air or GO airlines.

you should try them i have heard prices in the 120 euro RT

iberia ussually has good prices if booked in advance .

from casablanca you can get a train from airport to marrakech

it takes about 4 hours.

you can get conect flights to Mara but for me it was a lot extra

train runs 10 euro in 1st class and is comfy.

train from airport is like 3 euro

taxi from train station in mara to town is 1.5 euro

and from mara airport 5 euro

best to get local money from automatic bank machines

best of luck

hi if money rather than time is your priority i would recommend flying to seville from barcelona (actually only costs 15 euro on some flights with iberia air) getting a bus to algeciras and going by train from tangier. it will take ages but thats what im doing in july.

Iberia, Royal Air Maroc and Air Europa offer direct flights from Barcelona to Marrakech, but not daily.

Atlas Blue does not fly from any Spanish airports.

It's way cheaper to fly into Casablanca and then take a train to Marrakech.

I have been researching myself and it appears the best bet is Atlas Blue, as another poster mentioned. This "may" sound like a crazy idea...but it actually could be worth it...both money-wise and time-wise...you could fly from Barcelona to London Gatwick, then take advantage of the London-Marrakesh deals. It's MUCH cheaper than flying directly from Barcelona to Marrakesh. It might even be cheaper/save time than routing thru Casa or Madrid or other places. Def explore this option.

(I was quite surprised that there aren't more cheap/convenient flights from Spain to Morocco...seems like this would be the obvious European jumping off point, no?)

Note: I read on the Lonely Planet forums that they canceled their Jul/Aug service, but I'm going in Sep and it appears they have flights. Good luck!
