- Yes, it's safe. The roads on this route (Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Tinerhir - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga) are tarmac.

- Are the road signs in english as well and clearly marked along the roads?

- There are no road signs in English in Morocco. But all names are also written in French, so it can't be that confusing. If you think you're lost, just ask someone for directions. And bring a good roadmap.

- Are there plenty of gas stations along the way?

- Yes.
