1. Re: riad nejma lounge

hi we stayed there for one night and it was fine, room was clean and airconditioned. The riad is run by young people in their 20s/early 30s and they are all pleasant. We spent two nights in Marrakesh and we decided to book two nights on different riads to experience some variety. We had pleasant experience on both riaads but nejma lounge is definitely much more hip. It has a small (no loud music though) and you can order drinks or snacks. In the morning continental breakfast. No tv in the room. No proper locks too, you get no key but this was the case on the other riad too, it is the practice i suppose.

The riad house is nice, the rooms are nice and moderately priced around 50 euros but if you look for the traditional riaad packed with moroccan decorations and feel and orange trees inside the courtyard and some traditional moroccan breakfast then look elsewhere. This riad is much more modern and we personally liked the other one better it had much more traditional character (courtyard filled with orange trees etc).

But as I said Nejma lounge is more hip and u can always spend some time outside your room hearing some music and having a drink or snack. The other riad was very quiet nothing was happening in the evening.

Finding nejma lounge is easier too as it is at the border of the medina and the ville nouvelle, the medina can be a labyrinth for the ones who do not know.
