A good location and grand public spaces but the rooms don't live up to the public spaces or the grounds. Our room was large and everything worked but it seems a bit dark when the blinds to the balcony were closed. I have nothing really to complain about it just seemed a bit disappointing after the Sofitel in Fez and the one in Essouira.
Stayed here in 2003 for honeymoon. Agree about the rooms bring small. However we did have the whole place to ourselves so that somewhat made up for it, having numerous people waiting on us hand and foot and having the pool and public areas all to ourselves. Very nice place but isolated and very expensive to get anywhere as you have to book a car through the hotel. Loved Marrakech though, rather wished we'd stayed somewhere more centrally located in the Medina area. Out of interest which hotel did you stay in in Essouria?
