Casablanca one day in city tour guide and transportation

My husband and I will arrive in Casablanca early evening on Friday, March 1. We will have a free day on Saturday, March 2 and would like a private guide that could help us (walking and driving) see the Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche, the old Medina and perhaps some of the art deco areas we have read about. We will be moving on to Rabat and elsewhere as part of a group tour on March 3. Most of the agencies on line seem to specialize in moving you quickly out of Casablanca. Has anyone used a guide limited to the city? We are staying at the Novotel City Centre and have not recieved any response from them. In that same vein, we will probably take a white taxi from the airport to the hotel on Friday evening. Any thoughts?

Thanks John. I had read 250 to 300 from airport so will hold fast to that price for the Grand Taxi. While I was hoping for a lazy scenario where we just hired a driver/guide and gave him our list, maybe getting the petit taxis will work out. ( ? Insha' Allah?) We did that in Cairo a few years back, lucked out with a charming independent cabbie, hired him for two days and it was a great experience. ( Still worry about that nice man and his family.) We are really only hooked on the Hassan II Mosque and hope that a good cabbie could confirm the guided tours are indeed at 9, 10, 11 and get us to the right place at the right time. We have a couple of restaurants to choose from ... and yes we must go to Rick's!! Again, thank you for your help. So looking forward to Morocco.

You can simply manage your day with a Taxi after you bargain to get your best price, in case your tour is expensive for you after you contact the local Tours as you can check the Things to do Tab in activities branch there is Tours that you can check online managing your day trips.

tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g293732-Activiti…

You just need to know that most of the visitors skip Casablanca and have an alternative journey enjoying a real Taste of Morocco by going to Rabat, in Casablanca you can just visit the Hassan 2 Mosque, experience the Ain Diab Cornish and some of the old monuments at the old Medina, and "Bab Marrakech" for the restaurants Casablanca has the best by Rick's Cafe it's really amazing, try to book in advance making availability, having a dinner in it.

Happy Travels.
