Apartments with out restrictions

Who knows of any apartments in Agadir which are close to the main strip, and which allow guests to come and stay as we may have some friends from casablanca and tangiers coming to stay with us whilst we are in agadir.

Hotels dont useually allow guests or friends round.

Hi,

Click on the vacation rentals tab on the left of the page for all the reviews. Try writing to the owners of any suitably sized apartments about what is allowed.

I think phoning up owners or checking online is a waste of time as they hardly get back to you and i dont feel its safe paying online so id rather find one their then book it over the net thats from my experience

I actually agree with Armani. There's no point in trying to get owners to agree beforehand to you having guests as this simply gets their hackles up and makes them suspicious. You are renting the flat/villa so you actually can have whom you want back or to stay, within the confines of the law, of course - although foreigners are given an awful lot of leeway.

In my view it's best to see what you're going to rent, so before I came to live in Morocco I always tended to ,look for a place on the first day of my arrival. The one time I rented online, the villa (absolutely fabulous, luxurious and well-furnished) was just over the road from a slum and 2 Moroccan friends leaving late at night were threatened and one had his mobile stolen. I shan't make that mistake again.

Bottom line is simple: Private lanlords would require a hefty deposit against damages if you are to bring local native back to the apartment.

You have your passport and maybe holiday insurance as guarantee, but your local guests would have nothing!!!!

As for places to rent along the srip, the new flats in and around the marina would be ideal, but not cheap.

Cheers

Things must be different in El Jadida from elsewhere then. Here you agree the price for the period of the stay, pay, get a receipt and the landlord/landlady registers your presence with the police. You simply don't ask if you can have guests, you just invite them if you want. This was also the system in Essaouira when I used to go there, although things might have changed.

Of course, if you are unwise or have raucous parties, you might get some problems!
