We are a group of 4 in our late twenties planning a visit to Morocco. We are looking for a good combination of nature, attractive cities and ancient sites.
I think that transport may be an issue in Morocco, and I am not particularly fond of spending most of my vacation in a bus, but we are willing to spend a couple of busy days visiting two or three places at once. That said, I still dont know if am trying to fit many more places than I should.
This is our plan so far:
Day 1: Arrive to Marrakech
Days 2, 3, and 4: Three full days in Marrakech
Day 5: Transport from Marrakech to Merzouga, passing Ouarzazate and Todra Gorge. Is this feasible in one day?
Days 6 and 7: 2 full days in Merzouga.
Day 8: Transport fromMerzouga to Fes
Days 9 and 10: two full days in Fes
Day 11: Transport to Chefchaouen, visiting Volubilis
Days 12 and 13: Two full days in Chefchaouen
Day 14: Transport from Chefchaouen to Casablanca
Day 15: Flight departs from Casablanca
My plan in order to visit Ouarzazate and Todra Gorge is to hire a private driver to try to fit a rather quick visit to these two places before continuing to Merzouga.
So, do you think we should try to add or remove a plce, or maybe spend a day less or extra at any of these places. Maybe add an extra day to our trip?
Any thoughts are welcome. So excited!
