We were thinking about booking this tour. Has anyone else done this, know anything about it, is it worth it? Thanks! Report as inappropriate |

The price I saw was $62.00 which takes you to the Arizona Memorial MUSEUM and across the Ford Island Bridge to Ford Island where the USS Missouri is berthed (parked) and up and in the National Cemetary of the Pacific PUNCHBOWL what these tour companies DONT SAY is that inspite of getting a hotel pick-up and the above (and maybe some treat etc) you will NOT get onto a boat (launch) ANY FASTER.
The Navy operates the boats that goes directly to the Arizona Memorial itself. so! the value of that tour would be the MO and PUNCHBOWL Taking your own time no rushing and using THEBUS with transfers would only cost you $4.00 if just seeing the Arizona is part of your plans. and /or maybe time to hike or stroll over to the Aloha Stadium Flea Market. Online you can reserve it for $57. I think everyone in our group wants to see the Missouri also. I think that I read somewhere that the guided tour of the Missouri is $49 and better than the selfguided tour. (get to see more). So is this a good deal if we were planning to see the Missouri anyway? Report as inappropriate

sounds okay (all three places, Ya?) Where did you see there was a self-guided tour over to the Missouri? because the bridge is heavily guarded It is considered a military installation so unless the source you read is military or DoD and or gets permission from these two, there is NO WAY a non-military (not sure about Vets) can get onto the Island to see the MO without it being a guided tour. and Guided Tours are pretty good. on top of it all you can add another Island to your list of islands going to FORD. anyhow hope it all works out for ya'll Report as inappropriate

Hi Aynnie, My family (2 adults + 14 & 16 yr olds) did the Stars & Stripes tour and absolutely loved it. It is well worth the money. We had the funniest tour guide (ted), who's knowledge of hawaii was great. This tour starts very early 6:30, which means that you get to pearl harbor early and don't have to wait hours for your trip out to the memorial. Considering what is included in the price, Arizona Memorial, Guided Tour of the USS Missouri Battleship, Guided Tour of Punchbowl Cemetery, The National Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii State Capital, Iolani Palace, Kamehameha Statue, State Library and Archives, Honolulu City Hall, Kwaiahao Church, Mission Houses. Do it. You will be happy that you did. The information and comfort you get on this tour, you can't get on thebus. Report as inappropriate

Touris#rap'd, You can take a self guided tour of the Missouri. You just can't go onto the naval base by yourself. But you can go to the Arizona Memorial visitors center and next to it is the Bowfin Memorial. You may purchase tickets for the Missouri here and catch a trolley to the Battleship Missouri. Private vehicles are not allowed on to Ford Island unless you have a base pass issued by the Navy. Cheers Report as inappropriate
