What Hotel???

I am planning a honeymoon and will be staying in Maui for 8 nights before heading to Ohau. I am torn between the Ritz and the Four Seasons. Any suggestions???

Why are you torn? Pick one and go with it, both are great.

Pick the Four Seasons. Why? Great service. Better weather at it's location, no resort fees, no valet parking fees, cabanas by the pool, umbrellas on the beach free for your use. Use of fitness facilities and all fitness classes is complimentary, bottled water, fruit, popsicles and evian spritzes by the pool, no cost to you. You can even try an introductory scuba clinic or an outrigger canoe ride, again complimentary. Large rooms, and even larger bathrooms, beautiful grounds. Great restaurants - Spago, Ferraro's, Pacific Grill. You will not be nickled and dimed to death at the Four Seasons, everything in Maui is expensive, you don't need the additional unnecessary costs. The Four Seasons is ocean front, with a beautiful sandy beach. The Ritz has to shuttle you down to the beach, which is most of the time unswimmable and rough from what i've read. Read the reviews that have been posted here on Tripadvisor. People have really had issues with the Ritz, cockroaches, other bugs, musty, mildewy smelling rooms, dated furnishings, rude service, etc. Now read the reviews of The Four Seasons, you won't find many complaints. You are also located between The Grand Wailea, and the Fairmont Kea Lani while staying at the Four Seasons, so you have access to many other great restaurants and the Shops at Wailea too.

If this post keeps going you will find as many opinions about the Ritz, the Four Seasons and the Grand Wailea as there are cockroaches on Maui and they all will claim to be right.

As BB says, just pick one. You will really have to work at it to not have a great time at any of them.
