How does McDonald's grab you?

Between the airport and Hilton there isn't much. You will have to go into Lihue (KFC?) or up to Kapaa. Maybe Duke's bar is open which would be close to the airport.

Here's my suggestion. If you have to fly via HNL eat there.

There is nothing between our airport, and the Hilton. But -- as has been posted -- there is a McDonald's on the highway in downtown Lihu`e (open until midnight). It would only take you a mile or so out of your way to the Hilton.

As for dining at Honolulu Airport, I think all their concessionaires close at 9pm now...

Oki diner is open until midnight on Rice street, I also would recommend Hamura Saimin but I think they close earlier on Sunday.

There's a variety of sushi packs at 7-11. I usually grab one if I haven't eaten all day and don't want anything heavy. There's also BK and Taco Bell across the mall, sometimes hit those places after a movie.

LihueGirl - Oki has been closing earlier because its slow, from 10:30 to 11. Been that way for awhile. I only know because a friend works there. I wouldn't eat there even if it's the only place open. Cockroaches on the other hand love that place. ;-)

The bar in the interisland terminal in Honolulu was serving until 10 while we were there in September but maybe that's changed.

I am flying directly to Lihue from the mainland so HNL is out. I'm leaving Seattle at 4 so I guess we will get something there before we get on the plane and hope Alaska Air has extra bags of nuts onboard.
