I think that the meeting place is the pavilion. Since I don't know the park that well, is that a good place to meet??? I think that 3chihuahuas will be there early since they will most likely be fishing there. We are planning to golf that morning at Wailua and then head to the park after picking up some food (I'll be baking cookies to share the night before).

Gosh, I do hate to send in my regrets on this one - such a great group of people are attending! You guys will have a blast!

Just so folks won't think I'm being anti-social by not attending I just thought I should explain that getting out and around the island is becoming more difficult for me.

My mother (90) lives directly next to us - connected doors, etc. - she has become quite impaired recently with dementia and since I have no other family, I am her full-time caregiver.

I can get out and about sometimes if I can plan my goings out around her meal-time, but if I'm not there to give it to her - she doesn't eat.

So, I won't be able to make this one - but the next one that is here on the South Shore - I'll be there with bells on I hope. (well not really bells on!).

Have a great time - Lydgate is a perfect place for a picnic!
