There are grandstands at Amen Corner, but you will need to get there early to get good seats. There are also grandstands at various places on the course, but like I said, they fill up early.

A good place to get an up close view of the golfers is at the driving range (there are grandstands there also). It is in front of the main clubhouse. All of them come out for some practice swings before beginning their round. Yuo will also get a good view of Magnolia Lane and the famous shot of the club's logo in flowers that appears on all of the TV broadcasts (it is in front of the clubhouse, with the driving range on its right).

I have not heard of the "nixon house", but there is the Eisenhower Cabin there on the course; it is by the clubhouse and supposed to be the place where Ike stayed on his numerous trips to Augusta to play the course. It, like the main clubhouse, is not open to the general crowds during the tournament.
