Victor Bodden is the guide service you want in Roatan. They have the most experienced and best English speaking guides. We did our second trip with Victor in 5 years and both went very well. This trip (Feb) was with his only (i think) female guide. Joana! She was just great! Very personable and intimate in her knowledge of the island as she is a born and raised island girl. Her father is of British heritage and her mother is a native islander. You get a pretty cool mix of trilingual conversation if you get her telling stories. We also got put on a small reef right off the shore from a quaint little outdoor cafe where we ate. Lot's of fish and coral. We snorkeled for about an hour and a half. We got a little beach time, a trip to the grocery store for vanilla and coffee(get Cafe Bella Vista, not Isla Cafe). We asked lots of questions about the culture and she took us through some neighborhoods and gave a a great tour. She also took us to the bakery where we bought some fresh baked bread! We felt like we had a friend rather than a driver in a bout five minutes. I would give her 9.5 out of 10 !
