Roatan has several very good restaurants depending on what you like. Some of the best in the West End are:
Cannibal Cafe for the best Mexican in the Caribbean.
Argentine Grill for meat eaters.
Lighthouse in general
Pinocioe's (misspelled) seafood/veg
Rudy's for breakfast
Eagle Ray's for sunset drinks and appetizers
2 more great places to eat in West End are Blue Channel (awesome for authentic Italian) and Hot Chile which is owned by a local Honduran lady. Her conch soup is a little pricy but is by far the best I have ever eaten. When at West Bay, do not miss eating at Las Rocas and Bite on the Beach. I would eat at bite on the beach for supper and ask if you can feed the eels they have hiding out there, it is really cool. These restaurants are next to each other at the far end (if you were walking to west end) of West Bay beach. If you rented a scooter from Captain Vans, he will give you a map of the island and explain where to go. I would highly recommend driving down to the view restaurant for lunch. This is probably the best view you will experience from any restaurant on the island.
as a back up to the last post --- i'd have to say diane's on west bay road and argentian grill - both a must.....if you go down east go to the view - on the main road think it's milton bight - you won't miss it....say hey to karl.....have fun....bring bug spray
i wanted to make it clear i meant to bring bug spray on the trip - not to the view.....have fun
