Thanksgiving

Hello. Thinking of coming for our first trip for Thanksgiving. It seems like this is not the high season, but after the rainy season. Can you kind folks point out the pros and cons of coming this time of the year? Many thanks in advance.

1. Re: Thanksgiving

It's the end of the rainy and hurricane season (although Belize doesn't get many hurricanes anyway).

The island is just starting to get busy again, September and October are pretty slow.

We do get the occasional 'norther' blowing through then, so it can be cool.

We were here this past November. Weather was awesome.

Thanks Jeanh, I think I saw an earlier post regarding the Coral Bay Villas. Are all of the villas oceanfront or is there a particular one to request? They look lovely.

There's only seven units. Whether you want to be on the first floor or second is a matter of personal choice. I would try for one of the end units, #1, 4, or 5. #5 is the second floor, others are the first.

Thanksgiving usually starts the busy season, but not everything is full up for a few weeks.

Each hotel has its own rate strcuture for this time period. Some hotels charge higher rates for T-giving week as it is very busy and books up as it would in high season. T-giving is still rainy season with chances of rain, cold fronts or great weather-its impossible to predict. Hurricane season concludes Nov 30
