Can someone explain something to me? Both use the same system, it appears, but one is through AAA and the other is directly through Disney (same Disney Travel Co., though).

When building identical "Good Neighbor" packages on each site (Resort Hotels were not available), the disnelyland.com turns out about $150.00 less than AAA because I was given the option of KIDS FREE for the park tickets. On the AAA site, it looks like you only get the KIDS FREE option in a resort hotel. What gives?

Now, I'm not really sure what benefit I got by booking with my AAA membership :0(

I priced a trip with my AAA membership and it was more expensive, by $10 a night, and i was only booking the room. The hertz rental car through AAA was much more expensive than enterprise with a coupon on their own site.

It is not always cheaper to use your AAA membership.

In general, I agree...it is true that AAA might not be the best deal. BUT, since these are both WDTC trips (using the same system with an AAA label), I was a bit ticked. Sure $150.00 isn't much but I'm wondering how the AAA "perks" compare to the cash? Know what I mean? If I still get the enhanced fastpass since I booked with AAA (not sure since I'm staying at a "good neighbor") and the drink cup deal (again, I'm not real clear on that)..then perhaps it is worth the $150

Well...I just called the number that was at the bottom of my confirmation and was told that, yes, all the bells and whistles are included. So, that's good.

I asked why the KIDSFREE option for tickets wasn't offered on the AAA booking process. To make a long story short, it is a glitch. I AM eligible for this promotion. I have to pay $25 to cancel my current reservation and re-book with a "live" agent in my local office. So, I'm working on that. It is a real pain in the keester, but in the end (ha ha), I will have $153.00 MORE in my pocket! So, I guess it is worth the effort...If I would have known I would have booked in person in the first place...Oh well!

Also, you should get free parking, which would be alot, if you need to use the parking that is.Our hotel is going to charge us $3 a person every day to use the shuttle. it is free since i bought my disney tix at AAA. That is $50 if we go there every day. The shuttle would work out to $60, unless parking is more than $10 these days.

I like to think i get a few perks from my

AAA membership.

Im surprised that it is more expensive for you all...AAA is saving me $136 than if I booked through Disney direct...and it is the kids price I was given....to me booking through AAA is way better deal...

Just goes to show you how random it can be. It always pays to shop around, and to make some noise if something doesn't seem to make sense. Imagine how many people don't bother to ask AAA and pay the higher price!

Late Friday afternoon I got ahold of an AAA travel agent (at the main AAA travel center - not my local office) and GREAT NEWS! Everything has been re-booked with NO penalty fee to me! PLUS, Disney has recognized the glitch in the system and has fixed the internet site for AAA online bookings! YEAH! Now, I have $178 coming back to me! Huge KUDOS to all the AAA and Disney folks!

Hi,

Still wondering what the Kids Free option is with the AAA package? Please let me know as I just booked with AAA as a package and I didn't hear anything about a Kids Free option, and I have a 4 year old.

Thanks!
