Here's a general question. I'm taking my family (two teenage girls and wife) to Washington in late June. We will be hitting all of the major museums/attractions. I know there will be a lot of walking involved. My question is, should be plan on bringing backpacks with water, cameras, snacks, etc. or is that more trouble than it is worth?
Also, for those attractions that require a ticket (such as the holocaust museum) what time should we plan to get to the ticket booths? Are there usually long lines?
Any help would be appreciated.
