Dupont Circle Metro Station to RFK Stadium?

I'm staying at the American Guesthouse (2005 Columbia Road NW) which purports to be a 10-minute walk to Dupont Circle and the Metro Station. Is the station called "Dupont Circle?" How far is it to RFK Stadium from there by Metro, and what are the directions?

Also, will it be safe to walk at night post-game? Thanks.

10 minutes is about right to the Dupont Circle Metro station.

From there, you want to take the Red Line train (marked either Silver Spring or Glenmont) for two stops to Metro Center, then transfer (downstairs) to either a Blue Line train to Largo Town Center or Orange Line train to New Carrollton, getting off at the Stadium-Armory Stop.

Travel time: 4 minutes Metro Red Line plus 14 minutes Blue or Orange Line plus waiting time.

Very safe if you stay with the crowd.

Annie --

Tubman gives excellent directions.

It should be very easy to get to RFK -- find a Nats fan and follow them. For your info here is a Metro map.

Regarding safety, when you are coming into and leaving RFK you will be with thousands of your closest friends. LOL. You will be fine as there are so many people heading to the game.

GO NATS beat the Mets. I really wish the Mets would get punished for hitting SIX Nats batters to one Mets hitter.
