How is it? We want to go skiing ( my family does) and I want to stay in...but would you recommend the place? Could not find any major reviews...

Thanks,

BTW, if you enter "Ski Resorts, Mt. Hood", you will find reviews. Here is the webpage:

Are you changing your mind about staying at Timberline Lodge? And I don't know if you've said; is this a ski vacation, or one that just includes skiing? If the latter, why not stay in Portland, where you'll have plenty to do, and let the rest of the family drive up to Mt. Hood. Resort at the Mountain is a nice enough place, but if you're thinking you'd prefer being there instead of Timberline while the family is skiing... hmmmm.... I'm not sure about that.

Here is the website on the transit up to the mountain. if your family just wants to go skiing, and not partial to Timberline and the dates work, I'd definetly take the bus up. My cousin does this all the time and has a really great time- no worrying about driving at all.

There are several recent reviews, but you have the name wrong- it's Resort AT the Mountain.

I was there in July, the new management is updating things. The Resort has nice rooms most with fireplaces. Many the the activities they offer on site are best on sunny days. It would be a less expensive but still nice alternative to Timberline Lodge.

I have stayed at the Resort at the Mountain a few times. Great experiences. It is so close to Mt. Hood, yet at a distance, so it is quiet.

It is also within 45-60 minutes of Portland, so you could go in to the big city for dinner, a show, what have you and still get back to your room at a reasonable hour.
