We are traveling from KC to Omaha the weekend of Aug. 1-2. We have been before and are going to stay at Arbor Day Farm one night in Neb. City and then on to Omaha for the zoo the next day and to visit friends.

Hubby wants to extend our stay a few more days and find a lake or something within 2-3 hours driving distance of Omaha with a cabin we could rent. We have three kids age 7 and under.

I have checked the state parks web site and all cabins seem to be booked. Any other suggestions?
