It's your basic Comfort Inn. Backside faces Belfast Harbor, front side faces Route 1. Not high-end, but not shabby.

I have stayed here a number of times. The pool area is nice. All rooms have a water view. The free breakfast is good--the waffles are super. Rooms are nothing spectacular, but they are clean. You could do ALOT worse for the money.

We've visited Belfast, Maine a dozen times over the years. The Comfort Inn is the best hotel in the area-- the newest, the cleanest. Before the Comfort Inn opened, the choices were pretty bleak when it came to hotels/motels: smoke-stuffy rooms, etc.

In nice weather, you can enjoy your complimentary breakfast on the deck facing the rear field and the Penobscot Bay. And yes, the indoor poor is nicely designed and faces that same view.

We like staying on an upper floor so we can sit on the terrace and look at the moonlight. In fact, we watched a lunar eclipse from that vantage one.

Right across Route One from the Comfort Inn is a very good Thai restaurant. The decor is casual but the dining is really authentic. If you like this type of food, you must give it a try. If you tire of the free breakfast at the CI, or would like a nice lunch, try the upscale diner, also across the road. It's called the Blueberry something.

There are also some very nice B&B's in Belfast and bordering Searsport, e.g. The Homeport on Route One and the Jewelled Turret in Belfast itself. We've had happy stays in both places.

Enjoy.
