My parents are coming from Georgia for Thanksgiving and we would like to go to a nice restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. We don't really care about cost but would like a nice inn-type country setting restaurant. I live in Ellington and would like to travel less than 45 minutes to get there. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You would not be disappointed at the Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton. A classic New England setting, excellent personal service and food not to be topped! Our stay last January was beautiful in the snow... no wonder it has gotten top marks from Hartfor Currant as well as NY Times! Missy Cassidy, Annapolis MD

The Seamen's Inn at Mystic Seaport is wonderful. They decorate wonderfully for the holidays, and the Seaport setting is beautiful. Right on the Mystic River, on Greenmanville Ave. in Mystic (exit 90 off I-95)

I'd love to make suggestions but I'm not sure where in CT Ellington is! You might want to consult the Zagat Guide for CT which is very reliable.JDG
