So I'm travelling to the West Cost in mid October and I have got 8 days before I go on a 7 day tour (takes me to Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite and finishes in San Francisco which I will have 3 days there before I go back home).
Day 1 - arrive in LAX (from Sydney) around 10am
- get coach or Amtrak to San Diego 2.5 hours arriving mid afternoon
Day 2 - full day in San Diego
Day 3 - leave early morning flight to Seattle, mostly a full day in Seattle
Day 4 - full day in Seattle
Day 5 - half day in Seattle, leave to LA late afternoon/evening
Day 6 - Full day in LA
Day 7 - Full Day in LA
Day 8 - Full Day in LA
Day 9 - 15 - 7 day tour
Day 16 - 18 - San Francisco
I will arrive in LAX around 10am so I was planning to go to San Diego by bus around 11 or 12am. Then I will have a full day the next day and stay overnight and on the 3rd day I was thinking of leaving to Seattle in the morning and spend 2 nights there before leaving for LA.
Now my question is, should I change the plan above to spend longer in San Diego? If so, it means leaving early morning for Seattle on Day 4 instead of Day 3. If I do this I will have 2.5 days (and 3 nights) in San Diego and then 2 days (1 night) in Seattle.
What do you think? Should I spend more time in San Diego or Seattle?
