We have gone camping/canoeing several times at Buffalo Pointe and love it. This year we would like to maybe camp/canoe another river also but the Buffalo is all I know. We like it because of the slow pace and many places to stop and swim. What other rivers are kid friendly?
1 - Kings River in northwest Arkansas.

If you are in North Little Rock, a nearby good paddle is a favorite of mine, Cadron Creek. In the right weather and water level, the short stretch from near Guy (turn off 65 just above Greenbriar) to the 65 bridge is fun and pretty safe. You can be on the river in not too much more than an hour. Here is an outfitter (I have never dealt with) which looks pretty credible. www.cadroncreekoutfitters.com
