Hi claire congratulations i am also a pp bride to be we get married on 27th april this year so its coming close!! I can if you would like email u my experience once i return. This forum is great and their is alot of previous pp brides who are willing to answer any questions- don't know what i would have done with out them!!!

Hi Clare,

I am also getting married at PP in April next year, we fly out on the 14th April and have provisionally got 23rd April as our wedding day. I was advised to wait 6 weeks or so before contacting the hotel to arrange bits and pieces as it would take that long for them to get our booking. I've read loads of reviews on here and there are hundreds of photos to for you to have a look through, it looks perfect!

Laura any info you can give me will be great I would love to keep in touch and see how your wedding goes. Just simple things like what the weather is like and if there are lots of mozzies there would be a good start. Who did you book you your wedding through? Was there many extras you have had to pay for we would like the reception meal on the night , have you had to pay extra and the cuban band sounds good?

Jo we will all be there the same time we fly on the 10th and have provisionally booked our wedding for the 16th. Who have you booked yours through? We're really excited today we have had four guests book to come with us so far, do you have many friends and family coming?

We have booked through Thomas Cook but I'm a bit miffed at the moment because they publish 2 brochures a year, one with a huge list of extras and one with a small list of extras for your wedding, both are the same price, no prizes for guessing which list we have got! Having said that I know someone who works at the travel agent so we're hoping to get the whole lot :) we'll be able to catch up with you just before you leave PP so you can tell us everything about your fantastic day, there are some lovely piccies on here of the wedding gazebo, it looks amazing and I really cannot wait, I'm hoping the time flies by. Up to now there are 12 of us making the trip, just wish it was this year

We were married at PP lat Jan.06. You have chosen a fabulous resort!! You will not be disapointed. It is never to late to start to plan and communicate withthe wedding coordinators at the resort. I was speaking to them prior to us booking our trip. The more heads up and information you can give them on what you want and need the better chance you have of it all coming together!!

we're still waiting to confirm what is in our wedding package we booked through first choice and there brochure wasn't out when we booked. I hadn't heard there was two different choices with Thomas Cook , our friends and family are all booking with Thomas Cook as the prices are a lot cheaper than we paid. What sort of extras were you missing? Have you decided to get married in the gazebo? We were condisdering the beach but may change when we get there.

We had our ceramony on the beach, I wasn't travelling all that way not to get married in my bare feet on the beach!! We lucked out and had perfect weather the day of the wedding. You can basically have your ceramony any where on the resort you want. They will show you a few locations but feel free to ask to have any place you want to.

Our dinner/reception was in the grill restrauant, it was the only space large enough for our guests, we were 90 in total. They set up a microphone/sound system and head table for us. They also set up a CD player so we could have our 1st dance there. Depending on the size of your group you can more than likely request the location.

I too am getting married at pp in March - 42 days away!!!! I don't think its too early at all...Yaly has been so great about all of my emails and I started last summer.

We chose to get married at the beach and to have our reception dinner at the seafood restaurant. So far all the planning seems to be going really well. I would love to keep you guys posted as my wedding approaches very fast - and then I will let you know how beautiful it all turned out!!

Keep in mind that Yaly is always willing to answer any questions and this site is amazing. Tigs and Ottawa traveller are fabulous with answering questions too!

You have chosen a fabulous hotel. We were there in Jan 06 and fell in love with it.

Hi Clare,

My partner and I our also getting married at pp in April 07, we fly out on the 7th. We have booked with first choice, i don't think I'm going to e-mail the wedding co-ordinators before we arrive, will probably just go with the flow.

We will be travelling with 5 guests ( 3 adults and 2 children) and our 2 children.
