The Climate in Slovenia

I've looked up the Climate for Ljubljana & found that for each month of the year an average of 50%of the days have "wet days" greater than 25MM. This seems to indicate that the climate is very wet - Is this the reality? Any help would be great as I plan to visit Slovenia for the summer. Thanks

1. Re: The Climate in Slovenia

Ljubljana does get approx. 1500 mm of precipitation annually. However this is very unevenly distributed. Most of it falls in early spring (April) and in October and November. Our summer weather is definitely not wet! The weather usually clears out in the latter part of May and nice weather usually lasts into September. Of course this does not mean that it doesn't rain in the summer, but most of our summer days are hot and sunny. The summer precipitation comes mostly in form of short, but severe thunderstorm that release a lot of water. This might be the clue to why the data you found indicated a substantial amount of precipitation.
