Both areals were parts of military area Milovice-Mladá
1904 - 1939 Czech army
1939 - 1945 Germany army
1945 - 1968 Czech army
1969 - 1991 Soviet army
In this year was military area closed. Most of the buildings were built in the 50th years. From this period dates the current form of airport too. In soviet era each day direct train from Milovice to Moscow.
Most houses in Milovice were in last years rebuilt to relative cheap flats.
"Ghost town" is estate Boží Dar near airport. Recently were small part changes toflats too.
I read recently on one czech forum, that area has new owner, who don't like visitors. It may be little complicated visit it now but it is likely that this area will be rebuilt in next years.
Similar is former military area Ralsko (which is not to much rebuilt; in interesting landscape) - from Prague 2 hours by bus.
The situation in this areas is each year different.
