hi im getting married here august next year. i have done my research on this hotel regarding the wedding and also my friend got married here last yr. in regards to thomas cook package its just whats printed is whats included, you have to pay extra when you get there for your wedding license which is about 300 euros. in regards to a reception you pay extra for which is expensive from around 45euro pp plus the charge of a venue in the hotel which is rather posh and silver service which i didnt want so i am having my reception at a greek resturant called the garden of eden which specialises in weddings, im having a bbq and disco at less than half the price pp but beware if you do not have your reception at the hotel the hotel charges you 300 euros but this does work out cheaper for us to do this anyway.

Im getting married in the Olympic Lagoon in 4 months. We booked everything through Thomas Cook but Sally the wedding coordinator in the hotel is amazing. We are having our reception in the hotel in the new venue for this year called the Old Watermill Square, Its a free venue and all we have to pay for is the meal for everyone. But as everyone is on the all inclusive the drinks are included on that all day. So for 35euros each (half for kids) they get meal and drinks all day. Which for a wedding is not bad at all. If you have seating plans, wedding favours, place settings etc email Sally and she will get everything ready for you so when you turn up she can just sort it all for you. If you look on the reviews of the Olympic Lagoon and travellers photos i think number 16 is of the Old Watermill Square,

The hotel does hold a charge if you dont have the reception in the hotel so instead of paying 300euros and having the stress of then finding somewhere else and then paying for those meals and drinks all evening, this is why we chose the Old Watermill Square as beautiful and all stress taken away as Sally does everything for me.

Also, the venue we chose was supposed to be hot buffet only but due to our numbers i emailed Sally and arranged to have the silver service and this was not a problem for her to arrange for us.

The venues have been updated since last years wedding brochures and look fantastic, I can email you a copy of the 2012 wedding brochure for the hotel if this would help?

I got married here 5 yrs ago and it was superb. I booked through Thomas Cooks and everything in the brochure is covered in the cost. You do have to pay for your license seperatly and also any reception costs..photographers, hairdresser and flowers etc. I understand that even if you do not hold your reception in the hotel they will still charge you a fee...this was not the case when i got married and we had our reception at a taverna down by the harbour.

Also if you wish to get married after 2pm there is an additional cost.

On arrival at the resort you will go to ayia napa town hall with all your paperwork for the license to be issued....does not take a lot of time and we met with the wedding organiser from Thomas Cook who organised a hairdresser to visit to discuss styles and also our flowersetc

.We had our ceremony at 2.30 and it lasts 10 mins maximum...but very beautiful....followed by our photographs. We then had champagne and nibbles with our guests before going to our wedding meal.

For me i thought it was very relaxed an stress free....i just let the organiser get on with it and turned up when i was meant to lol.

We are getting married at 2pm and they have not charged us extra for this. Maybe this has changed as since they did their renevations 2 years ago they have changed a few aspects of the wedding packages. As we have included in our package the photographer, flowers, wedding cake etc.

the brochure was sent by the hotel once the wedding was booked. if you give me your email address i will forward onto you. It does state that this is just for 2012 so prices may change etc,
