I just hope you get this message.

Only a few weeks back we made a last minute decision to cancel our wedding plans in Victoria and head for the Whitsundays. I wasn't sure how I was going to organise everything, not being very familiar with the area.

On 30th May you responded to my cry for help on the tripadvisor forum which made my life so much easier. You got me on to a company by the name of Whitsunday Accommodation & Tours and Bob has organised almost the whole day for me. Everything from the Helicopter to accommodation for all of my guests. He's been fantastic!

You also recommended Damian Orth at OnAqua and they have been a great help with organising our dinner and accommodation.

I can't thank you enough for steering me in the right direction : )

G'day bear saw Bob & Libby today and they say everything's on track and going well and are rapt that you sent them your thanks and gave them a mention. Damien is a good bloke as well and I know it's your honeymoon, but you could do worst than go for a fish with him, he loves it and does he do a mean bbq after. Really happy everything turned out well and hopefully it will stay this way for your lives together. cheers airlian

Hi Airlian I'm planning a tour on whitsundays during september and i found a Pride of Airlie company and i like that. Could be a good choice?

I'm thinking to do a whale watching day tour from Brisbane to Moraton, but I'm asking if there are whales in the middle of september!

G'day miki1964 how are you thanks for your question. The Pride Of Airlie is a nice boat and depending on your agenda may suit your needs. It is very much a party boat and will show you Whitehaven and a little snorkelling, but there are better cruises, I'm sorry, but thats the truth. POA can be very packed out with lots of people, but again it depends what you are looking for.

The whales will mostly have left The Whitsundays by then and Hervey Bay might be your best chance of spotting them.

You are coming to The Whitsundays in the best possible time of year and it will be beautiful, I don't want to upset you with my advice and depending on your age it may be right for you, but if you want to see more of nature there are other cruises that will show you exactly what you want. As usual I recomend you get in touch with these local agents and tell them what you want and they will find something in your , style tastes and budget that will exceed your expectations. cheers airlian.

Airlian, I may regret not asking this sooner, but nobody was getting any responses to similar questions so I didn't bother.

We booked on Anaconda III. I really hope this isn't a party boat? My husband and I are in our 30's. We picked this because we wanted 3 nights, it has A/C and private bathrooms and it goes out to the reef. Because it's 3 nights it's a little more expensive - hopefully scaring off the young'uns. I also figured if I was looking for a party boat I would look for one that was BYOB. I know that's a cultural difference in Oz and not neccesarily an indicator, but if I was going to drink my face off, BYOB would allow me to do it for less money (something that would have appealled to me back in the days when a party boat would have suited!).

There were a few that were a little more obvious, like one called "Spank Me" with pictures of 30 "spring breakers" hanging off the side.

Amberm1 you've done very well A111 is a beautiful vessel where the occasional drink will be had, but it certainly isn't a "party " boat . It is a top quality vessel with a great itinerary and will show you the best of the islands and the reef. I hope that makes you feel better cheers airlian

Hi i have just read your review - wedding in th whitsundays

We have been looking at a wedding in the whitsundays for this December , we have had various quotes from local travel agents- and were shocked at what they were quoting us-We had been advised to contact Whitsudays accomodation and tours- which i have- and they seem very helpfull indeed- we would love to hear your experiences of getting married there and any advice you may be able to give us.

Thank you
