Stopover in Newcastle

Hi, Can anyone advise a nice hotel that has free airport transfer from Newcastle airport. We are only staying one night and then heading off to the Hunter Valley.

Thanks

I would suggest Crowne Plaza Newcastle is the nicest hotel in Newcastle (and is in a great location on the harbour with alot of great restaurants nearby). Not sure about the free transfer though? I dont believe any of the hotels in Newcastle would do free transfers as it is not really a big enough city to offer that. A taxi from Newcastle airport would be a good $50 one way or there are some bus services available.

309T's...... comments cover your question very well. If you ring Newcastle Airport (49289800) you can book a shuttle bus - think they are a bit cheaper than a taxi. You obviously will not have a car so how do you intend to get up to the Hunter Valley - there is no Public Transport

Thanks for your information. We are meeting up with some relatives that will have a car and transport us to the Hunter Valley.

Port Stephens Coaches provide a good service to the airport for just $4 and it is as fast as a taxi - allow half an hour. No need to book - just hail the coach at any public bus stop in Hunter St. Check their website for the schedule.
