Wellington booked - where to stay?

We did not plan well. The rugby qualifier is the Saturday we are in Wellington. There is no availability for rooms on the Saturday night in the city. Is there a good area to stay outside of the city? We have a car and need to be at the airport on Sunday.

Are you only looking for a hotel or would you be happy to stay in a B and B perhaps? If you Goggle Accommodation in Wellington you should come up with all sorts of boutique accommodation, guest houses, B and B accommodation etc. You can stay slightly out of the city in Eastbourne, Seatoun, Lower Hutt or on the Kapiti Coast for example. All these are within a half an hour and some less of driving to the city.

Give us a date you are in Wellington and we will see what we can do. "Rugby qualifier" day is a little vague. Rugby qualifier for what we have lots of those here

Thanks for the replies - yes we will be there the 14th. We called a ton of places - B&Bs too - and finally found one in Wellington. I think the match is against Bahrian?

AMFl for future information soccer / football is not the same a rugby. The similarity is that they are both played with an inflated ball. Rugby is the National sport of NZ and is played with 15 people each side and soccer / football is the International beautiful game and is played 11 per side.

The International qualifier being palyed this Saturday is the biggest game of soccer ever palyed in our country. The winner of this game goes to the World Cup in South Africa next year. I'll be at the Stadium this Saturday cheering our national team on hopefully to victory. Atmosphere for this game will start to pick up now that the rugby season is over. We played the final of the National championship last Saturday. Whildt Wellington was in the final we came a glorious second.

Glad you mangaed to find suitable accomodation.
