Any ideas on the best way to get transport from Auckland to Scenic Hotel. Don't think we will be in any fit state to think straight on arrival.

Check with the hotel as they may have recommendation they use. But shuttle buses will drop you at the door. taxis will also drop you at the door. Both the taxi and shuttle bus stands are outside the terminals.

If the hotel was right on or close to the Airbus route, I would ordinarily direct you to this as the best means for reaching your inner-city accommodation. The hotel is located a fair block away from where the Airbus continues its route down Wellesley Street into Queen Street, with a stop nearby (on Wellesley Street) that will require a short walk. Airbus return tickets cost $26.00 per passenger.

Otherwise the door to door airport-shuttle services are most convenient, at a higher price than Airbus. Taxis cost more again, with several posters on the Auckland forums recommending Discount Taxis being the cheapest of cab companies.
