hiya,

you can visit kelly tarlton underwater world , sky tower and walk around downtown as cruise terminal is right there. would not advise davenport as it involves another boat trip.

I would go and buy a ticket for the Explorer hop on-hop off city tour bus, and spend the day doing that, it is a great way to see most of the main areas around Auckland city.

One of the pick up points for this bus is on Quay St, just 2 minutes walk from the cruise terminal.

10 hours is actually a long-enough time to get away from your boat to see some of the 'real' countryside of Auckland! For example; in just 40 minutes you can find yourself in the Rainforest region of the Waitakere Ranges, or see the wild west coastline beaches. If you want "experience" rather than just viewing [another] city, do take the opportunity.

The Auckland Museum is not far from the cruise ship terminal.

A wonderful venue to spend several hours and be close to the CBD.

As suggested, Kelly Tarlton's is also "cool" venue.
