New Zealand week coachtour both islands

Please, does anyone know of a coach trip over both islands giving a good tour over about a week. We're two oldies who don't really want to get up very early every day and go to a new destination every night? Thanx for any ideas or help.

Hadleigh, I think that you will have a problem covering both islands in a week! Especially by coach and if you're not into getting up early- I don't think you'd actually get to bed to be able to cover the distance! It's a very long way. Here is a site that offers escorted vacations, also check out the sightseeing tab, greyline discovery pass may be what you're looking for. I think you'll need to pick a few choice areas to visit and plan around those.

Have a look at some of the companies via the link below

As per the last post, I would not even consider trying to cover both islands in a week - basically this is not possible if you actually want to see anything.

To be honest, a week is pushing it for getting round even 1 island, but if you definitely can't come for any longer, then I would probably recommend trying to do the S Island loop (Christchurch, Greymouth, Glaciers, Mt Cook, Queenstown).

Even doing this you WILL be getting up early every morning, and you will be moving on to a new destination every day.
