Many thanks.

Thanks so much ladies. Have you been to Becasse? What are your impressions? I know it just won an award. Also, would love your thoughts on Pello and Icebergs. Many thanks again...

hi Rachel,

out of your three I have only been to Icebergs....beautiful decor and setting over Bondi Beach but I was disappointed with the food.It is also very trendy, which sometimes takes away the essence of fine dining.

Becasse was not mentioned in last year reviews but this year has two hats from SMH food guide. I personally do not take the hat business into rating a restaurant as many famous chefs are attached to these establishments.

If you really want the best in regarding where to eat then you cannot go past Est in the Establishment Hotel in George Street, or take a walk down Surry Hills an inner suburb of Sydney it has some amazing restaurants offering top food at reasonable prices.

rachel, you also asked about Pello in Darlinghurst. I love this one. The food and service are good and it is reasonably priced especially for what you get. I have not been to the current Becasse but I went a couple of times to its previous address and the food and especially the service were top notch. However for a special night out, take Ellemay's suggestion....EST is a dream.
