Hi, well to travel to Palm Beach from CBD can be done in 1 hour!!! Honestly, hotels on the Peninsula are a bit thin on the ground, because this is really just the suburbs of SYDNEY.

Look at around Narrabeen, maybe Newport area.. Check WOTIF.COM ....maybe someone who lives up there might be able to provide a personal recommendation.

Palm Beach is just an hour's drive from the CBD. You don't need to stay over in the way there.

Or are you looking for somewhere on the Northern beaches to stay? If so, Manly probably has the most options and the biggest choice of things to do. Its also easy to get to the city using the ferry. The Novotel is right on the beach.

For future reference, it's a good idea to use a heading that give people some idea about the nature of your question. "Accommodation on the northern beaches" is more informative than "help".

Palm beach and Pittwater area is a lovely place to visit and stay. Look at Newport Mirage for accommodation.

Things to do- the Northern beaches are great, the further north of Manly the better IMO. Palm has a surf beach and still water on the Pittwater side offering boat, kayak hire. Walk up to BarrenjoeybLighthouse. I haven't seen the damage from recent fires but the view will still be spectacular. ferry to Patonga or The Basin. drive around Pittwater to North head in Kuringai National Park- beautiful scenery and bush walks.

You don't need a car to drive to Palm Beach. Bus L90 travels from Sydney city to Palm Beach every 30 minutes. Avoid peak hour travel as traffic is really bad, and you will be fighting for seats on the bus.
