Recommendations for Malaysian restaurants for dinner in CBD

Hi everyone,

I'd interested in hearing any opinions on recommendations for good value for money Malaysian restaurants that are in Sydney city centre (instead of in the suburbs).

I've been to Mamak (generally positive), and Nonya (hit and miss) on previous Sydney trips, but not many others. I know there are some good ones located within shopping or commercial buildings, but I imagine those aren't open for dinner?

Any recommendations would be most appreciated!

Thank you!

Chinta Ria and Neptune Palace, are the only other ones I know in the CBD.

Ah yes! Brilliant suggestion dy.

I just wish to add that my suggestions were mixed Asian, so they aren't specialist Malay.

Another vote for Malaya. Every time I have eaten there the food has been great.

There's a new Malaysian eatery called Ipoh on York St north from QVB towards Wynyard. They are new and really cheap and good apparently.

Also inside HSBC Centre opposite KFC at Town Hall theres a place called Alice's Makan that is really good and authentic and most of all cheap. They are open weekdays until 6:45-7pm
