From Watsons Bay to Bondi?

Hi There,

My family and I are staying at Olympic Park but are keen to travel to the city, catch the ferry to Watsons Bay (to have a swim and eat etc.) then maybe travel further afield towards Bondi.

Is this possibly giving the distance we have to cover and worthwhile taking a trip to Bondi to do the Bondi to Coogee walk?

If we wanted to get back to Olympic Park what would we have to catch and how long on average would it take - Is there a bus from Coogee into Central Station?

All help is greatly appreciated

Yes. The trip from Watsons Bay to Bondi is nice in itself. (380) The walk to Coogee is also nice.

Yes, you can get the bus back from Coogee to Central. M50 is good.

Getting to and from SOP is always a bit inconvenient. You're either getting the train back via Lidcombe, or bus from Strathfield, or catching the ferry and taking a risk on their being a connecting 526.

That is a big day to be honest also doing the Bondi to Coogee as well..yes it's doable of course but exhausting by the time you are finished!I have just posted a review on Watsons Bay so have a look ...as the walk around from Camp Cove beach to the scenic walk is just brilliant as is the seafood basket with chips!

If you have a smartphone and a local SIM card then the Tripview app is well worthwhile downloading if you plan on using public transport extensively. It will certainly cut down your waiting times at stations, wharves and bus stops.

>>>smartphone and a local SIM card then the Tripview <<<

Tripview is also fairly useful if you have a smartphone without a local SIM card. It won't give you live bus info, but it downloads all the timetables to the phone, so it still gives you accurate timetable information without a live connection.

You can download before you leave home.
