SF to Los angelos

My husband and I are spending 3 nights in SF departing at 10AM on Sunday 28th October after picking up our hired car. We have never been in California before. We return the car to Las Vegas on the Thursday or Friday.

We want to spend the Sunday night in Carmel then the second night in Cambria. We will not be visiting Hearst Castle. We plan to see santa Cruz, pacific grove Monterey etc on the Sunday, Have some stops on the way to Cambria. What we would like to know is whether to spend a night in Santa Barbara after leaving Cambria., then leave early on the Wednesday morning taking in Malibu Santa Monica etc before checking in to a hotel in Hollywood for the Wednesday night. Would this be ok just spending the 1 night in LA, or should we skip staying in Santa Barbara and Have 2 nights in LA. We have to be back in Las Vegas for no later than 6PM on the Thursday, unfortunately we have no alternative than driving. Would appreciate any advice.

Oops this is the wrong forum

Your questions have more to do with LA v/s SB rather than the Big Sur area which is the part between Carmel and Cambria.

It woud help to let people in the Los Angeles forum know what your interests are and what you want to do in the LA area which is really huge. Any major city in the US especially one has large and multifaceted and vibrant as Los Angles easily needs 3-4 days for most but everyone is different and has different priorities.

I don't know what it means by -- you have not alternatives other than driving. You are the customer and you should be able to have options unless this is one of those Fly -drive-fly options you are stuck with. The drive from LA to LV is boring and is a easy and cheap flight.

Good luck with your post in the LA forum

Also I think you had a lot of feedback the last time you posted with the same Subject line

By the way It is Los ANGELES and not Los Angelos -- The first post in Sept one may have been a typo. This one does not seem to
